If there is one Korean drama that deserves a rewatch, that would probably be the hit Korean drama ‘Itaewon Class’ which remains one of the most iconic dramas of 2020. From the incredible plot to its sensational characters, everything is surely worth rooting for.

Adapted to the popular webcomics with the same name from Kakao Entertainment, JTBC Studios will collaborate With Kakao entertainment together with Kross Pictures and inked the licensing deal with Japan’s local network ‘TV Asahi’ to produce the adaptation of the global hit Korean drama ‘Itaewon Class’ into ‘Roppongi Class’.

Although the specific release date and details weren’t made yet available, the adaptation has confirmed its casting with Japanese actors Takeuchi Ryoma, popularly known for his role as Shinnosuke Tomari at Kamen Rider, is in talk to portray the role of Park Saeroyi (played by Park Seo Joon), an ex-convict turned pub owner who stands against a corrupt conglomerate family that causes him to face series of challenges on his life.

While singer-actress Hirate Yurina was also offered and confirmed to play Jo Yi-Seo (Kim Dami), Saeroyi’s love interest and the manager of DanBam Pub.

Recording its personal best viewership rating in JTBC History and winning Best Drama Series at the 25th Asian television Awards in 2021, ‘Itaewon Clas’ tells the story of a young orphan Park Saeroyi, and his fight against the powerful Jangga Group. Following his struggles, he strived to uphold and support his DanBam Pub with his manager and friends.

Based on the announcements that were made on March 24, the 13-episode series is scheduled to be broadcast on air this summer.
