In time with the celebration of Valentine’s Day, Agusan del Norte’s provincial government opened on Wednesday a two-day Kadiwa ng Pangulo center dubbed “Tabo (Market) with a Heart” at the Children’s Park inside the capitol grounds here.

The Feb. 14-15 event, supported by the Department of Agriculture (DA) 13 (Caraga Region), features fresh farm produce of farmers groups in the province.

“The event will also offer to the public the processed food and non-food products of the micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs),” the provincial government said in a statement.

In a separate statement Wednesday, DA-13 called on the residents of Butuan City and the nearby towns “to visit the Kadiwa ng Pangulo event and buy fresh and affordable vegetables and fruits directly from our farmers.”

DA-13 also encouraged residents to support local MSMEs by purchasing their products from this city and other towns in the province.

“The ‘Tabo with a Heart’ will boost our farmers’ income by eliminating middlemen and enabling the consumers to buy their needs at affordable prices,” the agency said. (PNA)
