The Marcos administration will be launching the “Tara, Nood Tayo!” infomercial to promote responsible viewership, as part of its efforts to realize its vision for a “Bagong Pilipinas” (New Philippines).

A memorandum of agreement (MOA) was signed on Tuesday for the production of the infomercial, based on a Facebook post by the Presidential Communications Office (PCO).

Signatories to the MOA were PCO Acting Secretary Cesar Chavez, Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) chairperson Diorella Maria Sotto-Antonio, Philippine Information Agency (PIA) director general Katherine Chloe de Castro, and Assistant Secretary Jose Marcell Canlas from the Office of the Executive Secretary (OES).

“The ‘Tara, Nood Tayo!’ infomercial seeks to endorse and encourage Filipinos to watch locally produced movies and television shows,” the PCO said.

Under the MOA, the campaign aims to create partnerships with various stakeholders in the media industry to raise public awareness of the Responsableng Panonood Tungo sa Bagong Pilipinas Campaign.

The “Tara, Nood Tayo!” infomercial also intends to empower the public “to become responsible and informed adults for their children towards discerning viewership to the end that the Filipino family is able to determine the film and television entertainment it sees.”

The PCO said the infomercial will be shown in movie theaters prior to screening time and on television.

The “Tara, Nood Tayo!” infomercial will also be uploaded on social media platforms, digital media, and traditional broadcast media. (PNA)
