During his interview, Gloc-9 shared with ABS-CBN News, “Noong ire-release namin ‘yan, takot na takot ako.

Later on, the rapper revealed that the response to the song was immediate and unexpected. People from various walks of life approached him, sharing their personal connections to the song.

The Story Behind “Sirena”

With tears in his eyes, Gloc-9 discloses the touching narrative behind ‘Sirena.’ At the time ‘Sirena’ was written, his son had not yet come out.

“My son is gay.

Despite his initial uncertainty, Gloc-9 expressed immense love and pride in his son, seeing the song as an unexpected gift that strengthened their bond and has now become a representation of inclusivity.
