Countless industries have been tragically affected by the COVID-19 Pandemic, most especially the food industry. Due to the several health risks of eating out, several restaurants had to unfortunately close due to the drop in profits. The closing of these businesses has left food workers jobless for the time being, and that is how Food PH MNL was founded.

Food PH MNL is an online food business based on Facebook, wherein displaced cooks of restaurants prepare food and have them delivered right to your doorstep. The business started out with a variety of cakes, then pasta and now sells baby back ribs, chicken wings, Japanese food, Filipino food, and even a baked Samgyupsal.

In one of their Facebook entries, they introduced JR, a cook in an Italian restaurant before.

“Hi my name is JR from a Japanese restaurant that we can’t name here in social media. I worked with them for 4 years but had to throw in the towel due to the pandemic. To be honest I love working with them and had no hard feelings.”

The business is popular on Facebook with nearly 16,000 likes and over 16,000 follows. Despite being a food-driven, Food PH MNL also helped riders and delivery men who lost their jobs.

“One more thing we are really sorry about the late deliveries. This page is not just for cooks and chefs that lost their jobs we also have rider from companies we can’t name that lost their jobs to we promise to improve on our deliveries,” he added.

Despite their busy schedule and newfound success, Food PH MNL always thanks buyers and supporters. With people now heavily relying on food deliveries, this business not only provides jobs for those who were unemployed due to the pandemic but also satisfies customers.
