Fulfilling their dreams, Filipino personalities Belle Mariano and Macoy Averilla, known as ‘Macoy Dubs, shared their experiences of finally watching professional motorsport racing in Formula One in Singapore.

On September 17, Formula One conducted its race at Marina Bay Street Circuit for the 2023 Singapore Grand Prix. Included among the lucky fans who personally watched the recent race were Belle Mariano and Macoy Dubs, who rejoiced to finally join the crowd in watching the well-known race.

Remembering his childhood dreams, Macoy disclosed how happy he was to witness the recent race, noting that he had been a fan since he was seven years old, influenced by his father.

“Like anyone else, I am just a 7-year-old kid who was influenced by my father to watch F1 at CableTV. We know it’s an expensive sport. I was also frequent at PlayStation rentals playing the game and GT,” he said.

With this, he then motivated fellow Formula One fans to never stop dreaming, as there will always be a day to achieve such a goal. “I hope one day you get to experience this. We’re not sure when, but trust one day,” Macoy said.

Aside from watching Formula One live, Macoy also had a chance to visit the station of one of the sport’s teams to have a glance at how the drivers and mechanics work behind the scenes.

The Filipino comedian also met some of the Formula One drivers, such as Daniel Riccardio and Checo Perez, before the Singapore Grand Prix, making him fulfill his dreams more. “Had the chance to see my ultimate F1 crush. Haha! What an experience,” he said.

Aside from Macoy, another lucky fan is Filipino actress Belle Mariano, who had a chance to watch the race and have a Sky Suite ticket during the 2023 Singapore Grand Prix.

Belle shared her wonderful experience of watching the motorsport in person, as she was invited to watch by one of her partner fashion brands. “What an experience!” she said.

The actress shared a video of herself as a glimpse of how she enjoyed watching Formula One for the first time. This was then supported by her co-artists and fans saying how happy they were that Belle was having the best time of her life.

Recently, Formula One has become a motorsport that makes a lot of noise in terms of racing, especially in the Philippines. Formula One is considered the highest class of international racing and started to have tournaments in 1950. The well-known teams in this sport include Ferrari, McLaren, Mercedes, and Red Bull.
