The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Antique is calling on owners of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSME) to enroll for the Kapatid Mentor ME (KMME) online program.

DTI-Antique Director Mary Jade Gonzales said in an interview Friday that there will be 20 slots for two batches of KMME for this year.

“DTI Antique will be hosting the online session of the second batch of KMME so we are now looking for 20 mentees,” she said.

Interested MSMEs may coordinate with their Negosyo Center (NC) counsellors.

To qualify, applicants should have existing enterprises where they could apply their learnings from the modules on marketing, financial literacy, operations management and product development.

Gonzales said the first program graduates in Antique were the first to form a credit cooperative in Western Visayas, assisting their members and other MSMEs regarding startup capital.

“The Kami Antique Credit Cooperative is a success story of the KMME,” she said.

Meanwhile, the DTI will open a new Negosyo (Business) Center in Barangay Semirara, Caluya within the year.

Gonzales said Antique has centers that provide support to MSME on business name registration and mentoring, among others. (PNA)
