Eleven famous motorcycle vloggers or motovloggers were tapped by the Department of Tourism (DOT) and the Tourism Promotions Board (TPB) on Tuesday to explore Pangasinan’s tourism destinations through the Philippine Motorcycle Tourism Pangasinan Adventure Ride.

Pangasinan provincial tourism and cultural affairs officer Maria Luisa Amor-Elduayan identified the motovloggers as Jet Lee, All About Wheels Manila, Jan Sy Photo+Blogs, Boss G, RoxanneVentures, Yanna, Laraaa, Rides with Danyela, Motokonek, Zara Moto, and Inday Rider.

“They went to the towns of Bayambang, Calasiao, Binmaley, along Baywalk Lingayen, at the Capitol, and to Alaminos City. This is for adventurers going around Pangasinan for the promotion of adventure destinations in Pangasinan,” she said in an interview.

Motorcycle tourism became more famous after movement restrictions were eased in the latter part of the pandemic.

Elduayan said stations were identified for the riders to place their stickers, which is a practice among the sector, “to inform their followers that they’ve been there.”

She said the destinations were inspected to ensure that the roads were safe for riders.

She expressed hope that the tourism program would encourage more tourists to visit the province during the upcoming holidays.

“Travel revenge is still a trend so definitely we are expecting more tourists, as well as surprises (for) our tourists,” she said.

Elduayan assured the public that Pangasinan is ready for the possible influx of tourists after local government units have teamed up with other government agencies to ensure that roads and tourist destinations are safe and secure. (PNA)
