Encanto, Walt Disney’s latest animated musical fantasy comedy, is set to open in cinemas on November 24, 2021.

Disney published a new full teaser for the forthcoming film, with the caption, “Find your magic in November. Watch the brand new #Encanto Disney trailer, in theaters this Thanksgiving.”

“Encanto” means “charm or spell” in Spanish, like previous Disney films, this one will be filled with enchantment and magic.

The 60th fantasy picture produced by Walt Disney Pictures will revolve around the Madrigals, a family living in an enchanted village in Colombia. Except for Mirabel, every kid in the family possesses a particular ability, such as extreme strength or the ability to heal. The lead character finds that her home is at risk and that she may be the only one who can protect it.

In Encanto, Mirabel must figure out where she belongs in her own family, a question that many people, including the creators, ponder.

Charise Castro Smith, the film’s co-director, told Good Morning America, “It started out really personal. Jared Bush and Byron Howard were the ones who came up with this idea and they started out by researching their own families. One of the big questions of the movie is, ‘Do I really see my family for who they are?”

“I think this is the first time that we’ve really tried to handle a large extended family,” the director said.

“We have about a dozen principal characters who are very, very important to the story, and that was enormously challenging but the whole team really committed to that from the beginning,” she added.

The filmmakers are Byron Howard and Jared Bush, the script is written by Bush and Charise Castro Smith, the film is produced by Clark Spencer, and the music is composed by Lin-Manuel Miranda.

Miranda is most recognized for his work on Hamilton, although he has also worked on Moana and Encanto. Eight unique songs will be performed in both Spanish and English.

Moreover, the trailer invites audiences into the exceptional, fantastical, and magical Casa Madrigal, providing a closer look at these gifted characters, and this charming setting. Encanto premieres in theaters on November 24.
