The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) on Saturday reported one overseas Filipino with coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) in Asia Pacific, increasing the tally to 10,386 as of Sept. 19.

The active cases are pegged at 3,015 with 2,326 undergoing treatment in Middle East/Africa, 328 in the Asia Pacific, 195 in Europe, and 166 in the Americas.

Meanwhile, no new fatality and one new recovery were recorded by the DFA, bringing the number to 777 and 6,594, respectively.

Compared to last week’s percentages, the DFA said the number of Filipinos who recovered increased slightly to 63.49 percent of the total case count while the deaths decreased to 29.03 percent.

Most of the recoveries are from Middle East/Africa with 4,230 followed by the Asia Pacific with 1,018, Europe with 883, and the Americas with 463.

The reported fatalities are also concentrated in Middle East/Africa with 496 followed by the Americas with 178, Europe with 95, and the Asia Pacific with eight. (PNA)
