The 2025 Seoul International Drama Awards recognized Daniel Padilla as one of the Outstanding Asian Stars, receiving the honor alongside top actors from across Asia during the ceremony held at the KBS Hall in Seoul, South Korea.

In his heartfelt acceptance speech, the Kapamilya star expressed his gratitude to the award-giving body, his colleagues, his family, and his loyal fans.

“Good evening everyone, first and foremost, thank you Lord. I’m truly honored to be here tonight to receive this award. Thank you so much, Seoul International Drama Awards, for this recognition,” Padilla said.

He went on to thank his Incognito and Star Creatives family, mentioning directors Lester Pimentel, Wong Yan Bin, and Ian Lorenos, as well as co-stars Ian Veneracion, Richard Gutierrez, Baron Geisler, Anthony Jennings, Maris Racal, and Kaila Estrada. He also praised the Action 360 stunt team and his tactical instructors, Benjo Ramos and Patrick Caballero.

The 29-year-old actor also acknowledged his management and network. “My Star Magic family and home network, ABS-CBN, thank you. I also want to thank my friends and my family for their endless support and unconditional love. Mama, I made it,” he declared to loud applause.

Above all, Padilla dedicated the award to his supporters. “And to all the fans, thank you for your continuous support and unwavering love. You are the reason why I’m here. Thank you so much,” he added.

This year’s biggest winner was Adolescence, which took home the Grand Prize, Best Director, and Best Actor. Other productions also had a strong showing with multiple wins, including Severance, Pachinko, and Disclaimer. Korean hits The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call and When Life Gives You Tangerines shared the Outstanding Korean Drama award, while Ju Ji-hoon and IU won the top acting prizes.

For Padilla, the recognition marks another milestone in his career, cementing his status as a global star celebrated well beyond Philippine shores.
