Whenever someone asks us what the saddest moment of our life is, we usually associate that with heartbreaks, goodbyes, or losses. These days, when asked with the same question, some of us would usually answer with the causes COVID-19 gave in our lives.

As for netizen and son of both frontliners, Dennis Thomas Tudtud encountered the most devastating week of his life arrived around the end of March 2020, when the disease claims both of his parents in one week.

To pay tribute to his “travel buddy”, Dennis took to Facebook and bid farewell.

Dr. Helen Tudtud was a Cebuano pathologist at Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center. She received her degree from Cebu Institute of Medicine.

She passed away on March 27, 2020. She was 66.

“At least you can finally finish watching Greys Anatomy and eat all the sweets you like in Heaven. Love you so much,” he wrote. “More PS Don’t sungog me with spoilers kay i know you know the future episodes up there,” Dennis noted.

Unfortunately, just a few days later (on his birthday), Dennis faces another death in the family.

“Our Daddy Dennis has joined Mommy Helen. My sister and I are in deep sorrow that God had to take both of them but I take comfort that they are happy together in their journey to paradise,” an assured Dennis shared on Facebook.

A selfless dad and a passionate doctor, as Dennis describes his dad. Dr. Tudtud has always put others first and worked hard to give their children everything they needed and wanted.

Dennis also shared the generosity of his father. “As a doctor, he would even pay for the chemotherapy sessions of some of his patients just so their families could spend more years with them. He was generous beyond words could even describe,” he stated.

“My parents may have lost but the Lord won two angels,” he ended.

Dr. Dennis Ramon Tudtud was also a Cebuano doctor, who specialized in Oncology.

On March 31, the world paid their last respects to Dr. Dennis.
