Comedienne Noemi Tesorero, famously known as Mahal, has died in a hospital in Batangas after she contracted with the Covid-19 and got digestive complications, her family told ABS-CBN News on Tuesday, August 31. She was 46.
Mahal’s sister, Irene Tesorero, posted on Facebook confirming the death of her sister saying, “Ang aming kapatid na si mahal ay pumanaw na. Wala pa schedule sa kanyang burol due to covid restriction.”
Mahal, who stood 3 feet tall and has a condition of dwarfism, will be remembered by Filipinos who’s in her early years brought laughter and smile to every role she plays in the television industry,
Some of her notable shows are best remembered with her childlike performance during “Magandang Tanghali Bayan,” “Anak ni Janice,” “Kokey” and “Mr. Suave,” partnered with Dagul, who also has dwarfism, in various programs.
Mahal rose to fame in the 90s and continued to stand out when she started vlogging, featuring model and actor Mygz Molino in most of her content. Her last vlog posted on her YouTube channel was on August 27, 4 days after her death, showing snippets of interviews on Kapuso Mo Jessica Soho in her visit with former co-comedian Mura.
