Chucky, the 1980s killer doll, is set to terrorize audiences once again when he returns to the screens in a TV series slated to broadcast on October 12, 2021.

“In the new CHUCKY television series, an idyllic American town is thrown into chaos after a vintage ‘Good Guy’ doll turns up at a suburban yard sale. Soon, everyone must grapple with a series of horrifying murders that begin to expose the town’s deep hypocrisies and hidden secrets,” SYFY said.

“Meanwhile, friends and foes from Chucky’s past creep back into his world and threaten to expose the truth behind his mysterious origins as a seemingly ordinary child who somehow became this notorious monster,” they added.

The story starts as Jake Webber, a misfit, encounters Chucky, the murderous doll, during a yard sale.

Jake’s sexual identity and orientation will be addressed throughout the series, as well as how Jake begins to carry the scary doll about with him everywhere he goes as a coping strategy for feeling excluded because of his sexual orientation.

Brad Dourif will once again be back as the voice of Chucky, while Jennifer Tilly will give life back to Tiffany, Chucky’s bride.

Devon Sawa from Final Destination, Alyvia Alyn Lind, Bjorgvin Arnarson, Teo Briones, and Zackary Arthur, will also grace the series.

Chucky will premiere on SYFY and the USA Network on October 12, 2021.
