Chef Sandy Daza takes viewers on a road trip from Manila to Ilocos to discover the best cookeries in the new season of “FoodPrints,” premiering on Metro Channel this Saturday (March 6) at 8:30 pm.

He will serve as a food guide once again for the show’s eighth season—a partnership of Metro Channel and the Tourism Promotions Board—highlighting culinary treasures in the metropolis and up north in Pampanga, Subic, La Union, Ilocos Sur, and Ilocos Norte that viewers can explore post-pandemic.

In ‘FoodPrints'” premiere episode, Chef Sandy explores authentic Turkish cuisine at Feta Mediterranean in Greenhills. Then, he visits Manila’s second Chinatown, Banawe, for some dishes that will remind viewers of Hong Kong. He stops by BGC for bistro classics like escargot and foie gras reminiscent of a Parisian al fresco experience and ends the night at Caphe Saigon in Antipolo with a steaming bowl of Pho.

Chef Sandy continues his food trip in Manila in the next episode, delving into Cantonese and Middle Eastern cuisines in his favorite restaurants. Viewers can also look forward to his top 10 favorite lockdown discoveries and a guide on how to order them.

Upcoming “FoodPrints” episodes will show the Pinoy chef exchange stories and laughter with locals, enjoy farm-to-table cuisine, and of course go “pasalubong” shopping as he explores Subic for the first time and visits top dining destinations Meat Plus Café, Urban Deli, Rali’s Restaurant, Gourmet Garage, Asian Spices, and Texas Joe’s.

The new season will not be complete without a visit to the country’s culinary capital. Chef Sandy goes to Mabalacat where he discovers a gem in Lola Nor’s restaurant. He moves to Angeles where he meets enterprising Kapampangans whose pandemic pivot was to sell very good burgers. He ends his Pampanga food trip with a yakiniku dinner at Yu Fu In.

The distinguished chef is also featuring La Union’s beautiful sights and gastronomic delights and will go grape picking and even visit a sea urchin and seaweed farm. He is also set to showcase Ilocos Sur’s best-kept gourmet secrets as well as Ilocos Norte’s epicurean dishes.
