“Black Panther” actor Chadwick Boseman has passed away on Friday after secretly battling colon cancer for four years. He was 43.
The diagnosis started in 2016 and eventually got to Stage IV. He bid his farewell with his wife and family by his side.
“A true fighter, Chadwick persevered through it all, and brought you many of the films you have come to love so much. From Marshall to Da 5 Bloods, August Wilson’s Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom and several more, all were filmed during and between countless surgeries and chemotherapy,” the post stated.
Messages of comfort and honor from fans and friends have poured all over social media after the news broke.
Meanwhile, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige and Director of “Black Panther” Ryan Coogler announced that “Black Panther 2” will be released in May 2022.
