The iconic DC comic, Wonder Woman 1984 is coming out in the Philippines, exclusively premieres on the HBO streaming app, HBO GO, on Wednesday, April 21.
The much-awaited Wonder Woman 1984 is the anticipated aftermath of the successful 2017’s Wonder Woman directed by Patty Jenkins.
This remarkable movie starring Gal Gadot as Diana Prince or known as Wonder Woman, Chris Pine as Steve Trevor, Kristen Wiig as Barbara Ann Minerva or known as Cheetah, Pedro Pascual as Maxwell Lord, Robin Wright as Antiope, and Connie Nielson as Queen Hippolyta will again stand for justice and equality.
In this sequel, viewers will have a sense of nostalgic content since the movie was set in the 80s’ where Wonder Woman dons her golden eagle armor as she saves mankind from the greedy ambitions of Max Lord and The Cheetah.
Viewers will witness how Diana Prince who lives among mortals has brought to life once again by Gal Gadot. Diana Prince’s costume is a retro shenanigan that fits the Generation X tastes of pop-culture royalties.
The film was released by Warner Bros through HBO Max. It was first seen in the United States and was streamed in the Philippines on January 8 on the big screens. The movie on its debut has garnered multiple positive reviews and nominated as the Best Visual Effects at the Critics’ Choice Movie Awards.
Along with Wonder Woman 1984, subscribers of HBO Go can also watch other DC blockbuster films including Zack Snyder’s Justice League; Man of Steel; Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice; Suicide Squad; Shazam; Joker; Birds of Prey; and The Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn.
