Food products from young farmer-entrepreneurs in the Caraga Region are being showcased at the World Food Expo (WOFEX), which runs from Aug. 6 to 9 at the World Trade Center in Pasay City.

In a report Thursday, the Department of Agriculture-Caraga’s (DA-13) Agribusiness and Marketing Assistance Division (AMAD) said the region’s young participants were the awardees of the Young Farmers Challenge held in Butuan City in April.

Among the top products being showcased are vinegar, chili oil, chili powder, and hot sauce from Fiery Food Products, one of the participating businesses.

The Francis Berachah Integrated Farm is showcasing its Robusta and Arabica coffee products, including fine grind, drip coffee, whole beans, and medium dark roast.

“The WOFEX is also considered a venue where our participants can connect with other business groups, professionals, and potential markets for their products,” the AMAD said.

The participation is part of DA-13’s strategy to help boost the region’s farm products to broader markets in the country. (PNA)
