The Police Regional Office (PRO) 13 (Caraga) activated its Media Action Center (MAC) Thursday to serve as the official election information hub for the region, five days before the May 12 national and local elections.

Located at the Camp Col. Rafael C. Rodriguez headquarters, the Wi-Fi-equipped center provides real-time updates on election security operations.

“The MAC ensures unified police-media efforts in promoting public awareness through accurate information,” said PRO-13 Director, Brig. Gen. Christopher Abrahano.

The facility features workstations and monitoring equipment for journalists.

“I encourage verifying information through official channels to protect election integrity,” Abrahano added, noting that the center would combat misinformation during the electoral period. (PNA)
