In a press release last July 27, 2021, the company said that the trademark red and white design will remain, paving the way for the Campbell’s logo to receive a more modernized logo.

This will include removing the dark shadows on the logo and updating the font that is based on the founder’s original signature, John Campbell.
A few other changes to the design will include the word “soup”, which will be printed in a new font, featuring a slightly slanted “O”, a callback to the heyday of the brand’s original label in 1898.

The assortment of varieties that will be receiving the updated designs on their cans will include tomato, cream of chicken, cream of mushroom, and chicken noodle.

Campbell’s said that the changes “evoke the same sense of comfort, goodness, and Americana” as its predecessor. They hope to provide a new face to the brand for the new generation of customers that are cooking at home more due to the pandemic.

In celebration of its launch, Campbell’s is selling its first non-fungible token (NFT) of the new label.

The ‘AmeriCANa — SOPHIA CHANG X CAMPBELL’S’ collection of 100 Campbell’s verified NFT art pieces was produced by famous street-style artist and illustrator, Sophia Chang, and was exclusively released for purchase last July 27, 2021, via NTWRK.

The redesigned cans have rolled out onto the market shelves.

The proceeds will go to Feeding America, a long-time Campbell partner in the battle against hunger.
