The city government here is readying the sites for the vaccination against coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19).

Mayor Myca Elizabeth R. Vergara said Tuesday the main inoculation center is located in front of the city hall compound.

Vergara said while waiting for its completion, there will be 15 satellite vaccination centers to be set up in covered courts of schools in the city’s different villages.

She said there will be a satellite vaccination center to be put up at the Cabanatuan City Risk Reduction and Management Office where the simulation vaccination will be conducted.

The city government is urging local residents to avail of the government’s immunization program against Covid-19.

“Para sa lahat ng mga taga-Cabanatuan na interesado sa bakuna laban sa Covid-19, mangyari pong ipa-rehistro ang inyong impormasyon sa: http://bit.ly/2LwVlH8 (For all residents in Cabanatuan City who are interested to be vaccinated against Covid-19, you may register at http://bit.ly/2LwVlH8),” it said in a social media announcement.

Meanwhile, a 32-unit molecular laboratory, aimed at stepping up the city’s response against the dreaded disease, is expected to be operational by late March or early April this year.

The construction of the RT-PCR Laboratory at MV Gallego Cabanatuan City General Hospital, was officially started by Roche Philippines in December 2020. (PNA)
