Disney is bringing the global sensation K-pop band BTS into its streaming service.

This is after the entertainment giant Walt Disney Company and BTS’s studio HYBE struck a new content partnership deal with each other, signing a contract for five streaming projects—three of those featuring BTS or BTS members.

The three upcoming titles include:

BTS: Permission to Dance on Stage — LA

An exclusive 4k concert film presenting BTS’ stadium concert in Los Angeles, California last November 2021, where they performed their chart-topping tracks “Butter” and “Permission to Dance”. This also marks the first time in two years the band has done a live concert performance with their fans watching in person.

The concert film will be available for streaming soon.

BTS Monuments: Beyond the Star

An original docu-series chronicling BTS’ rise to stardom over the past nine years—from struggling K-pop “nugu” (newbies) to global pop icons. Get up close and personal with the BTS members with never-before-seen footage, daily lives, and perspectives of Jin, Suga, RM, J-Hope, Jimin, Taehyung, and Jungkook as they prepare for the next chapter of their careers.

The docu-series will stream in 2023.

In the Soop: Friendcation

A travel reality show featuring the star-studded Wooga squad: V of BTS, Itaewon Class’ Park Seojoon, Parasite’s Choi Wooshik, Strong Girl Do Bongsoon’s Park Hyungsik, and rapper Peakboy. Get ready to see these five friends as they embark on a surprise 4-day vacation together, where they enjoy a variety of fun and leisure activities.

The show is set to premiere on Korean TV network JBTC on July 22 and will be available for streaming on Disney Plus after.

Last June, BTS left their fans around the world shocked when they announced that they would be taking an indefinite hiatus to focus on their individual solo projects. However, both BTS and HYBE reassured that the group will not be disbanding and will still be doing activities together in the immediate future.
