Light up your next playtime like a Dynamite, since this top hit song from BTS will be released as a LEGO brick set.

On February 22, the LEGO Group revealed the final winners of LEGO Ideas, an event in which fans and designers may showcase and submit their unique ideas for LEGO idea sets, with the opportunity to be produced as official LEGO products.

One of the selected winners is a BTS ‘Dynamite’-Inspired Lego brick model designed and created by Josh Bretz (JBBrickFanatic) and Jacob (BangtanBricks) who are both huge fans of the phenomenal Korean boy band.

Both Josh and Jacob shared that the inspiration for the Lego set came from the song’s music video success and their love for music and creating LEGO sets. “I saw the success of the music video itself and knew this was a space that needed to be filled in the Ideas lineup. With such a dedicated fan base, the BTS Dynamite music video is just so iconic. I teamed up with my friend to make it the best it could be, and clearly, from the insane amount of support, I’d say we did a good job!” Josh said, according to a LEGO Ideas blog.

Josh also shared that Jacob did the creative direction for the Lego set. Aside from the iconic and vibrant set of BTS ‘Dynamite’, the LEGO set will also feature a LEGO version of the boy band’s seven members RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook.

As stated in the guidelines set in LEGO Ideas, supporters play a massive role by voting as this helps a product idea reach the review stage wherein the LEGO review board examines the idea. The BTS ‘Dynamite’ LEGO creators shared their experience that they have received support from ARMYs for their project.

“I had a lot of trouble gaining traction on social media to get the attention of the BTS fandom (Called ARMY) and it was a real struggle to get to 81 supporters. But then one night Josh made a Tik Tok video to promote the set and it went semi-viral. We hit 700 supporters by the next morning and within 24 hours of that, we hit 7K. I believe our project has the largest growth spurt of any ideas project ever. After that, it only took a day or two to get the rest,” Jacob said.

The LEGO Group expressed their excitement in bringing BTS to life through one of their biggest hits, Dynamite, in the form of a LEGO brick set. The price and release date of the LEGO set has yet to be confirmed.
