Giant Media Network, GMA 7 (Global Media Arts) unveiled its 2020 Christmas Station ID with a theme “Isang Puso Ngayong Pasko” on Monday. November 16, to pay tribute to Filipinos who have faced the year’s successive hardships.

The 7-minute video appeared to be intriguing due to the appearance of Senator Ramon “Bong” Revilla” Jr. that made the netizens give their various reactions and comments.

A netizen reacted and said, “Jusko po (face palm emoji) my reaction when I saw Bong Revilla on GMA Christmas Station ID (clown emoji).”

In 2013, the senator was involved in the multi-billion peso pork barrel scam and acquitted plunder charges that shook the nation.

However, another netizen replied on a thread and defended “He appeared on that Station as an actor and not as a politician please separate the issue about his job as an actor and as a politician.”

Also, one netizen added, “Let’s all focus on the essence of Christmas! NO more politics at all! Sa lahat ng pinagdaraan natin sa ngayon, maging POSITIBO tayo sa buhay! SABAY-SABAY TAYO SA PAGBANGON! At di malugmok sa nakaraan! MOVING ON! #IsangPusoParaSaPilipino.”

The Senator replied to critics, “Haters are going to hate, and bashers are going to bash. The truth is out there and it is their choice to side with lies and falsehood. Sino ang may problema? Not me,” said in a statement.

Revilla is also set to return on GMA Channel 7 through a child-oriented program. The senator was last seen on his segment “Kap’s Amazing Stories” in 2014 before his official arrest.

Nonetheless, GMA’s Christmas Station ID will always be true to many Filipinos as its message showcases the love of each other throughout the year.
