During these trying times, Filipinos refuse to let the shortcomings brought by the COVID-19 pandemic get in their way. In spite of the crisis, they have resolved to different methods to keep their source of living afloat. A few of the most famous products during this time are face masks, homemade meals, and baked goods.

And these are usually sold by the people you would least expect. Celebrities, influencers, and even a beauty queen herself have jumped in on this!

We’re talking about Sinulog Festival Queen 2020 Monika Afable, who was seen roaming around the town to sell “siakoy”—the Filipino version of a twisted, sugarcoated donut.

According to a source, Afable decided to do this so she can have more means during the crisis. This photo of her posing with her products created a buzz since it went to social media.

Sans the crown, the beauty queen left viewers in awe because of her humility and hard work.
