Not everyone has the privilege to internet access and meet the basic requirement of distance learning amid the new normal. This mode of education has become one of the hot topics since the plan was proposed. So, to address this issue in Cavite, the local government decided to provide internet connection to learners.
According to Governor Jonvic Remulla on his Facebook page, Cavite will soon provide a free Wi-Fi system to some 90 percent of its residential areas.

He stated, “During the ongoing quarantine period, the #CaviteFreeWiFi shall be purely utilized for the educational or academic requirements of public school or DepEd students which they can access using their ID number.”

The official also hopes that one day the network becomes a beacon of empowerment so that innovation and collaboration can lighten up their beloved province.
This Wi-Fi project will be of great help to a lot of students and educators, especially now that education has gone digital.
