Around 350,000 people visited cemeteries and memorial parks across the Caraga Region during the observance of Undas, which remained generally peaceful with no significant incidents reported, the Police Regional Office in Caraga (PRO-13) said Monday.

PRO-13 Director Brig. Gen. Rolindo Suguilon attributed the peaceful observance of All Saints’ Day and All Souls’ Day to early preparations, coordinated deployment and strict security operations by authorities and other agencies involved.

Of the total number of visitors monitored, 695 were recorded at memorial parks and cemeteries on Oct. 29; 14,341 on Oct. 30; 44,767 on Oct. 31; 105,281 on Nov. 1; and 193,321 on Nov. 2.

“From October 30 to November 2, 2026, a total of 6,486 personnel were deployed to ensure the safety and security of the public during the observance of Undas 2026,” Suguilon said.

He added that members of the PRO-13 Command Group conducted inspections and monitoring at public and private cemeteries, memorial parks, public terminals and other areas where large numbers of people gathered during the observance.

“The observance of All Saints’ Day and All Souls’ Day was generally peaceful, with no significant incidents recorded,” Suguilon said.

Suguilon also credited the public for observing safety measures and cooperating with authorities throughout the holiday period. (PNA)
