The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) will release two months’ worth of cash assistance to qualified beneficiaries of the Unified Package for Livelihoods, Industry, Food, and Transport (UPLIFT) in November through digital and manual payout channels.

“Matatanggap po ninyo ang dalawang buwan na halaga ng UPLIFT sa November, depende sa inyong grupo at sa itinakdang schedule ng payout. Ito po ay para sa buwan ng September at October (You will receive two months’ worth of UPLIFT assistance in November, depending on your group and scheduled payout date. This covers September and October),” DSWD spokesperson Assistant Secretary Irene Dumlao said in a news release on Monday.

For Group 2 beneficiaries — poor and near-poor individuals identified through the Philippine Statistics Authority’s (PSA) Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS) records — who have registered e-wallets, or bank accounts, the DSWD will credit the full PHP4,000 assistance on Nov. 6.

“Beneficiaries receiving their assistance digitally will no longer need to go to an on-site payout venue. Diretso niyo na pong matatanggap sa inyong mga digital wallet at bank accounts (You will receive the assistance directly in your digital wallets and bank accounts),” Dumlao added.

Beneficiaries without registered digital wallets or bank accounts will receive their full PHP4,000 assistance through manual payouts from Nov. 2 to 30.

Group 2 beneficiaries are advised to wait for the official announcement of their respective payout schedules and venues.

“Antabayanan lang po ninyo sa aming Facebook accounts ang schedule at payout sites para sa mga wala pang registered na digital o bank accounts (Those without registered digital wallets or bank accounts are advised to monitor our official Facebook accounts for updates on payout schedules and venues),” Dumlao said.

Qualified Social Security System (SSS) members under Group 3 will also receive their assistance through their enrolled disbursement accounts.

SSS members with a monthly salary credit (MSC) of PHP10,000 will receive PHP8,000, covering the first four months of UPLIFT assistance, beginning Oct. 30.

Those who have already received assistance for the first and second months will receive the remaining PHP4,000 for the third and fourth months.

SSS members with an MSC of PHP20,000 will receive the third and fourth tranches of cash assistance, amounting to PHP4,000, through their enrolled disbursement accounts on Nov. 6. (PNA)
