“Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition” Kapuso Big Winner Mika Salamanca finally dropped her first single, “Kasalanan,” from her highly anticipated debut album under Star Music last Friday (Feb. 6), which instantly landed the no. 1 spot on iTunes Philippines and was among the featured tracks in the New Music Fridays list of Spotify and Billboard Philippines.

Written by Star Music artists Jeremy G and P-Pop group WRIVE’s Russu Laurente and Ishiro Incapas, “Kasalanan” talks about fearlessly and freely falling in love regardless of what other people think.

“It is also a love letter to my fans who have been there for me no matter what,” shared Mika.

In the song’s official music video, the Kapuso star teamed up with Kapamilya actor Anthony Jennings, and they delivered an action-packed, mafia-inspired love story to the delight of many fans.

“Anthony is perfect for the role since he is used to doing action stunts. He guided me all throughout, and I am very thankful for him for being part of the music video,” said Mika.

“Kasalanan” debuted on national television via “It’s Showtime” with a fierce performance from Mika together with Femme MNL.

Mika also performed the song live at the recently held Wonderful Moments Music Festival in SMDC Grounds alongside event headliners Sarah Geronimo, Bamboo, Gloc 9, BINI, and Cup of Joe.

The latest Star Music release follows Mika’s highly anticipated debut single, “Sino Nga Ba Siya,” which made waves as it topped the iTunes Philippines and UAE songs charts. It also secured a spot in Singapore, Cambodia, and Qatar and broke into the top 10 of Spotify’s Viral Songs Chart with over 5 million streams.

After her successful debut, Mika collaborated with fellow “PBB” winner Brent Manalo for “What If Tayo?” which ruled the MYX Daily Top 10 and has over 1.1 million views on YouTube.
