The 25 exhibitors who participated in the Sept. 12 to 13, 2025 Kadiwa ng Pangulo (KNP) in Antique received wages as additional incentive under the emergency employment program of the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE).

The KNP formed part of the activities to mark the celebration of the 68th birthday of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.

“Each exhibitor was able to receive PHP 1,026 from DOLE,” said Office of the Provincial Agriculturist KNP in-charge Betty Baldevia in an interview on Wednesday.

The release of wages started on Tuesday.

Baldevia said farmers, fisherfolk, and micro, small and medium entrepreneurs are also encouraged to prepare for another KNP in time for the Binirayan Festival, the provincial annual event, on Dec. 12 to 13.

“We encourage the exhibitors to make ready their agri-fishery products such as rice, meat, vegetables, fruits, and the by-products in anticipation of the bigger demand because of the influx of people,” she said.

Baldevia also said that aside from the KNP, there will be booths for each municipality where farmers and fisherfolk could also display their products with the help of their respective Municipal Agriculture Officers. (PNA)
