Malacañang on Friday expressed elation over the public’s growing appreciation of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s relentless efforts to bring progress to the country.

Palace Press Officer Claire Castro said the higher trust and satisfaction in Marcos is an indication that more Filipinos are now feeling the changes under the current administration.

First of all, the people are probably seeing what the President is really doing. And it’s a pleasure and they can see how hard the President works for the people and for the country),” Castro said in a Palace briefing.

But let’s say again that the President will not be affected by any number, but of course it elates us),” she added.

Marcos obtained higher trust and performance scores in the second quarter of 2025, according to a non-commissioned Tugon ng Masa survey conducted by OCTA Research on July 12 to 17.

Marcos’ trust rating went up by four percentage points from 64 percent to 60 percent, while his performance rating saw a three-percentage-point increase to 62 percent.

While Marcos does not look at surveys as his performance metrics, the results show the effectiveness of the government’s messaging, allowing more Filipinos to be aware of the current administration’s policies and programs, Castro said.

I think so because now our countrymen can see more where the President goes because before, the President probably didn’t show it much because he just went to work and he wasn’t very particular about whether the people could see it),” she said.

“But with this, kailangan po talagang makita ng taumbayan para malaman nila at ma-differentiate nila iyong taong nagtatrabaho at iyong nagbabakasyon lang (the people really need to see it so they can know and differentiate between a person who is working and one who is just on vacation).” (PNA)
