The National Commission on Senior Citizens (NCSC) opened Mindanao’s first Senior Citizens Community Care Center (SC3C) in Malaybalay City, Bukidnon on Wednesday.

The SC3C, a joint effort between the NCSC and local government units, aims to provide accessible, comprehensive elderly care services.

During the ceremony, Malaybalay Vice Mayor Estelito Marabe noted that before this facility, only wealthy families could afford private elderly care.

“Now, we have a government program complete with medical services and all other needs,” he said.

NCSC Commissioner Reymar Mansilungan emphasized that the elderly should live without burdens and enjoy fulfilling lives. (PNA)
