The Office of the Vice President (OVP)’s MagNegosyo Ta ‘Day program has so far aided around 7,561 women and members of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex, asexual (LGBTQIA+) community in the country this year.

“Umabot na sa 7,561 ang naging benepisyaryo kung saan ang bawat grupo ay makakatanggap ng PHP150,000 at PHP15,000 para sa mga individual beneficiaries upang mas mapaunlad pa ang kanilang mga negosyo (The beneficiary already hit 7,561 wherein each group received PHP150,000 and PHP15,000 each for individual beneficiaries so they can grow their businesses),” the OVP said in a Facebook post on Tuesday.

In particular, the OVP provided entrepreneurial opportunities or support to 14 groups and 99 individuals from January to September.

It also assured the continuous rollout of MagNegosyo Ta ‘Day in other parts of the country.

“Patuloy na maglilingkod ang OVP sa pamamagitan ng mga serbisyong may pangmatagalang epekto sa buhay ng sambayanang Pilipino (The OVP will continue to serve Filipinos with services that has long-term impacts in their lives),” it said.

MagNegosyo Ta ‘Day was launched under the helm of Vice President Sara Duterte to provide livelihood and employment opportunities to women and members of vulnerable or disadvantaged sectors. (PNA)
