The city government of Surigao said the completion of a super health center will cater to the healthcare needs of thousands of residents in remote barangays.

“Through this super health center, we will be able to provide quality health services to the people of Surigao. The government is here to provide health services through this facility,” Mayor Pablo Yves Dumlao II said in a message during the opening ceremony on Monday.

Situated in Cagniog village, the super health center cost PHP11.5 million, the construction of which started on Nov. 11, 2022.

The facility was completed through the efforts of the Office of Senator Christopher Lawrence Go, the Department of Health, and the Surigao City government.

The 480-square meter health center is expected to enhance healthcare accessibility and quality in the city through its modern facilities and skilled personnel.

During the inauguration, Cagniog Barangay Councilor Josefino Cagasan lauded the government for bringing health services to their community.

“This completed project is vital to the well-being of the people of Cagniog and its neighboring villages,” he said. (PNA)
