Helping its users have a better view of entertainment on their gadgets, the online streaming platform YouTube introduced its newest features coming this August.
YouTube has an exciting surprise for its premium users as it announced its additional three features. Besides having an ad-free feature, premium users can now have personalization on their watch screen.
Soon to launch on August 5, smartphone users will have less hassle with accidentally tapping buttons that disrupt their ability to watch their favorite videos.
With its newest Lock Screen feature, users can disable touch input while watching videos to eliminate unnecessary taps on the pause and skip buttons.
To access this feature, users will just go to full-screen mode and choose the Lock Screen feature on the gear icon in the top-right corner of the screen.
Meanwhile, YouTube will also release two new features on August 13 that will be accessible on any type of gadget.
First is its easy access to controlling the playback speed on streaming videos. With its newest feature, users will just long-press any part of the screen while watching, and then it will automatically bump the playback speed to 2x.
The next one is perfect for people who like to multi-task, as YouTube will already provide bigger screens for preview mode.
The streaming platform will provide a larger preview thumbnail to see the video moving forward and backward. “This makes it easier to find the exact moment in the video you want to watch.
