President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. is set to lead anytime this month the groundbreaking ceremony here of the Pambansang Pabahay para sa Pilipino (4PH), a priority socialized housing project under his administration.

Rodrigo Pagotaisidro, the city government’s housing and land management division chief, said Tuesday the site development of the housing project, including the scale models of the residential units, is almost complete in preparation for the groundbreaking ceremony.

Pagotaisidro said the self-contained community project, dubbed “El Vinta Residencia” located in Barangay Boalan here, will have 6,400 residential units in eight 12-story buildings and eight 14-story buildings on a 14.45-hectare property.

Each residential unit measures 27 square meters with two bedrooms, and living, dining, and comfort rooms. Each of the residential buildings will also have three elevators.

Like other high-rise residential units in the metropolis, the Boalan housing project will have amenities, such as convenience stores, laundromats, salons and barber shops, basketball courts, and parking lots.

The housing project is open to all government employees or anybody who can pay a monthly amortization of PHP3,800 through the Pag-IBIG Fund.

Pagotaisidro said applications for the 4HP housing program in Boalan have so far reached 1,200.

The project is a collaboration of the city government and the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development with Metro Stonerich Corp. as private developer, and Pag-IBIG Fund as financing agency. (PNA)
