The provincial government of Albay is now in the last stage of distribution of agricultural inputs to 720 barangays in the province expected to help farmers improve their crop production and supply.

In an interview on Wednesday, Lorena Quisiing, Albay provincial information officer, said the agri-inputs comprise agricultural seeds and tools that can be used by farmers and other sectors in the community under the supervision of the Albay Provincial Agricultural Office (APAO).

“With the goal to increase agricultural production, ensure food security, and eliminate hunger in the 720 barangays provincewide, the Go Green, Grow Green Albay Program (G4AP) of the Provincial Government of Albay, under the leadership of Governor Atty. Edcel Grex Lagman, hopes to create a healthier, more sustainable, prosperous, and beautiful Albay for future generations,” Quising said.

She said the cities of Tabaco and Legazpi and the municipalities of Rapu-Rapu, Tiwi, Malinao, Malilipot, Bacacay, Sto. Domingo, Daraga, Guinobatan, Camalig, Oas, and Polangui have received the agricultural inputs since the distribution started early this month.

“The distribution of seeds and tools to the municipality of Libon, Pioduran, Jovellar, and the city of Ligao would be scheduled last week of March 2023,” Quising added. (PNA)
