About 7.4 million anti-coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) vaccines have been administered in Davao Region as of Nov. 14, the regional Department of Health office (DOH-11) reported Tuesday.

In a Nov. 14 bulletin update, DOH-11 said around 94.6 percent or 3,591,207 individuals have received their first dose of the vaccine that included the single shot Johnson and Johnson jabs.

Around 87.8 percent or 3.3 million individuals are now fully vaccinated in the region, the agency said.

Of the fully vaccinated, at least 17.4 percent or 661,928 individuals got their first booster shots while 3.3 percent, or 123,844 individuals were administered second booster shots.

Meanwhile, DOH-11 also noted a total of 478 new cases of Covid-19 from Nov. 7-13.

“The figure, however, is lower by 16.1 percent than cases reported from Oct. 31 to Nov. 6 at 570 cases,” DOH-11 said.

Healthcare utilization for the regional hospital also showed a capacity of 38.4 percent for non-intensive care unit (ICU) bed use and 48.9 percent for ICU bed use.

During the same period, only 54 of 416 Covid-19 admissions were severe and critical, while eight deaths were recorded. (PNA)
