Former “The Voice Kids PH” finalist Claire Geonzon wins first runner-up in one of the biggest annual singing contests in Los Angeles, California.

She is the youngest winner in the recently concluded 2022 Discovery Philippines Competition on May 27.

Waynehart Claire Geonzon, 11, is a former top 8 finalist of “The Voice Kids” and was the only kid who entered the Discovery Philippines finals.

Geonzon was a multi medalist and World Championships of Performing Arts (WCOPA) semi-finalist and division champion winner.

The talented young Filipina also played the young Nala in Disney’s “Lion King: The Musical” international tour.

Representing Texas, USA, Claire performed Mozart’s “Der Hölle Rache” as her final piece—which is considered to be one of the most difficult opera songs of all time.

Leeana Kelly and Kevin Hermongenes were announced as the second runner-up and champion, respectively. The contest winner will represent the Philippines in Europe for Discovery International next year.

Hailing from Quezon City, Claire Geonzon was 6 years old when she started singing and joined “The Voice Kids PH.” She was a three-chair-turner who caught the attention of coaches and the audience with her performance of Michael Jackson’s “Music and Me.”

Claire is a high school scholar and achiever at OB Montessori Greenhills. She is also being coached in singing by Lea Salonga.
