The country has received an additional 2,400 doses of Pfizer vaccine, procured through the World Bank, for kids aged 5 to 11 on Wednesday night.

The shipment arrived via Air Hong Kong flight LD456 at 8:37 p.m. at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3.

Based on the Department of Health’s (DOH) Covid-19 vaccination dashboard, the country has administered 152,012,792 doses. Of this figure, 128,285 were administered on June 1.

The DOH data showed that 70,917,708 of the population have completed the vaccination, while 66,897,882 have received the first dose.

At least 14,197,202 booster doses have been administered as of June 1.

The country has been procuring and receiving vaccines made by various manufacturers. Vaccines administered include Pfizer, Moderna, Johnson&Johnson, Sinovac, AstraZeneca, Sputnik V, Sputnik Light, and Sinopharm.

Earlier, National Task Force (NTF) Deputy Chief Implementer Vivencio Dizon said the Prevent, Detect, Isolation, Treat, Reintegrate and Vaccinate strategy enabled the government to contain and mitigate the spread of the virus by minimizing its health risks.

“We always balance health and economy, despite the challenges and difficulties that we face in managing, in creating this very delicate balance. But we have succeeded and we have prevailed. We could not have done it without Secretary Galvez who led the ramping up of the vaccination efforts of the government,” he said during the Duterte Legacy Summit last May 30. (PNA)
