The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has completed the new two-story multi-purpose building intended for the senior citizens at Barangay Bolosan here.

“It can now be utilized as a venue for recreational and social programs aimed for the elderly of the community,” DPWH Ilocos Region information officer Esperanza Tinaza said in a statement issued on Monday.

Tinaza said the Pangasinan Second District Engineering Office headed by District Engineer Edita Manuel implemented the construction of the building.

“The building is equipped with a path walk, aluminum glass doors and windows, fully furnished painted walls, electrical works, and a wide space that can accommodate almost 300 elderly at a time. It may also be used to host programs and events conducted by the barangay,” she said.

Tinaza said the PHP1.98-million project completed last February 10 was funded under the General Appropriations Act of 2021.

“It was completed within 75 calendar days,” she added. (PNA)
