Electro-pop artist Zion Aguirre and R&B newcomer Maki are set to release their respective Filipino singles “Ikaw At Ako (Hanggang Dulo)” and “Halaga” under Tarsier Records this Friday (December 17).

Fresh from the success of his previous single “Fallin’” with Dave Anoñuevo, Zion’s newest release “Ikaw At Ako (Hanggang Dulo)” is an upbeat pop-rock song that mixes Tagalog lyrics with a bit of English as it draws inspiration from his personal experience.

“It’s saying that no matter what we all go through, as long as we are with the right people or the people that we truly love, everything will be alright,” the TikTok star explained, noting the timeliness of a pre-Christmas drop given the song’s message of hope and inspiration.

Meanwhile, Maki’s self-penned debut single “Halaga” is a Tagalog tune that aims to provide comfort to those feeling constant anxiety about others’ opinions of them. Brought to vivid life with a smooth interpretation of his own words, Maki’s message will remind listeners of their self-worth.

“No matter how many people make you feel unworthy, there will always be a person who will appreciate everything about you and remind you how beautiful you are. I really want to tell people that they’re good enough and worthy, and they belong to someone who can love and care for them unconditionally,” Maki says of “Halaga.”

Zion and Maki represent the versatility of the new “class” of signees under ABS-CBN’s Tarsier Records label. Aside from being a singer-songwriter, Zion is also a social media personality with over 800,000 combined followers across various platforms, while Maki, an active student currently working on a Communication Arts degree, signed on with the goal of releasing songs that will make people feel understood.

Stream this week’s fresh new singles “Ikaw At Ako (Hanggang Dulo)” by Zion and “Halaga” by Maki, both out this Friday (December 17) on digital music services worldwide. For updates, follow Tarsier Records on socials @tarsierrecords.
