A total of 298,094 individuals here have received their second dose of coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) vaccines since the inoculation program started last March.

The number represents 42.90 percent of the city’s target eligible population of 694,696 individuals.

The City Health Office (CHO) opened on Saturday four walk-in vaccination centers for pediatrics and adults (first dose) and two sites for the second dose and pre-registered vaccinees as the inoculation program continues.

Data released by the CHO showed that most of those fully vaccinated belong to the A4 priority group or the front-line personnel in the essential sector with 93,424.

Followed by adults with comorbidities or those belonging to the A3 priority group with 69,018.

The rest of the fully vaccinated individuals are the following: indigent population (A5), 61,731; senior citizens (A2), 36,809; workers in front-line health services (A1), 17,407; rest of the population, 13,320; rest of the pediatric population (ROPP), 6,091; and, pediatrics with comorbidities, 294.

The CHO data also showed that 554,743, or 79.85 percent of the target eligible population, have received their first dose of Covid-19 vaccines. (PNA)
