The hit Netflix series, Bridgerton teases fans with the upcoming season that is set to release next year.

“The Ton returns for yet another scandalous social season. Your first look at Bridgerton Season 2, from Shondaland. Coming in 2022, only on Netflix,” revealed the first teaser on Netflix Youtube last September 26.

The teaser unveiled the new character Kate Sharma (Simone Ashley), in which Anthony Bridgerton (Jonathan Bailey) accosts for “eavesdropping,” who in turn lectures the viscount for his marriage requirements and views that consider women as mere “chattels and breeding stock.”

Bridgerton season 2 was revealed last January through a letter posted by Lady Whistledown, the writer who discloses all the information about the Bridgerton family. It was written in the letter that Anthony, the eldest among the family, will dominate the new season as he finally decides to seriously begin his search for a bride.

Unfortunately, last April, Lady Whistledown announced that Regé-Jean Page, who played the main role of Duke of Hastings and the husband of Daphne Bridgerton in the first season, will not be returning for the next season.

Bridgerton is a Shondaland adaptation of the novel series by Julia Quinn. Eight of the books in the series follow the stories of the Bridgerton siblings in their pursuit of love and marriage.
