Toni Gonzaga surprised the netizens as she published on her “Toni Talks” official YouTube channel and Facebook page a recent video interview featuring one of the most well-known politicians in the country, Bongbong Marcos Jr, the son of the former President Ferdinand E. Marcos on September 13.

Within less than 24-hours, Gonzaga went viral online, and it seemed that the interview didn’t sit well with netizens. Netizens were acknowledging the actress for trying to be neutral and objective all throughout the interview. But for some, they find it disappointing and even write a lot of hate comments about the content.

“The worst and most distasteful part is that we will be commemorating one of the darkest days in Philippine history on the 21st. Ganda ng timing mo, Toni. #NeverAgain. #NeverForget,” Mon Sy wrote.

“Report the video as misleading. I mean the worst parts of the old Marcos were Martial Law, Lawless Killings, corruption, HR violations, and many more,” ncoian wrote.

The video was released just in time for Marcos’ birthday and also was days before the 49th anniversary of Marcos’s declaration of martial law.

Toni Gonzaga, the unbothered queen has nothing to prove in her bashers despite the fact that she receives a lot of hate comments including the Ateneo Martial Law Museum who slammed her and invited her to also interview the surviving victims of the Marcos regime.

“I have nothing to hide, I have nothing to defend, I have nothing to prove, I have nothing to explain to anybody because I know who I am deep inside,” said Toni Gonzaga to her bashers.

“I’ve reached a point in my life where I realized that other people’s perception of me is not my responsibility anymore,” she added.

Toni Talks 2022 The Special Series is a segment created to inform the public through interviewing politicians about their plans and who will be aiming to run in a higher position in the 2022 election such as Mayor Isko, Vice President Leni Robredo, Sen.
