Singer-songwriter Jane Marczewski or also known as Nightbirde revealed on her social media account Monday, August 2 that she will no longer be participating in the Season 16 of the reality talent show America’s Got Talent (AGT) due to her health condition.

In her post, Nightbirde shared how thankful and honored she is for being part of the talent show.

“Sharing my heart with the world on AGT has been an honor and a dream come true,” she wrote.

“My point of view this summer has been astounding. What a miracle that the pain I’ve walked through can be reworked into beauty that makes people all over the world open their eyes wider,” she added.

Also, she shared that starting from the audition, her health has deteriorated, and her fight against cancer demands all of her energy and attention.

“I am so sad to announce that I won’t be able to continue forward on this season of AGT. Life doesn’t always give breaks to those that deserve it—but we knew that already,” she continued.

She also thanked those people who supported her throughout her journey.

“Stay with me, I’ll be better soon. I’m planning my future, not my legacy. Pretty beat up, but I’ve still got dreams,” she said in the closing.

Nightbirde impressed judge Simon Cowell so much during her audition that she was named the season’s Golden Buzzer. She performed her original song “I’m Okay.”

As of writing, her performance video that was released last June 8 has already garnered more than 30 million views.
