The city government of Manila has already inoculated 105,212 individuals with the first dose of the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) vaccines as of Wednesday.

Of the total, 25,161 are medical front-liners (A1 priority group) from private and government hospitals.

For the 36,928 second doses, 4,252 were for medical front-liners and the rest for 32,676 residents.

For Wednesday alone, 242 first-shot doses were utilized, with 219 from the A1 group, 11 from A2 (senior citizens), and 12 from A3 (aged 18 to 59 with comorbidities).

For the second dose, 7,302 were administered to 754 medical front-liners, nine senior citizens, and 6,539 individuals with comorbidities.

As of Wednesday’s data, Manila has already deployed 229 doses of the Sputnik V vaccine.

The total number of vaccines received so far by Manila LGU is 144,159, of which 123,309 are Sinovac vaccines, 17,850 are from AstraZeneca, and 3,000 of Sputnik V.

Domagoso added that while the city government will not stop finding ways to mitigate the spread of the virus, residents must adhere to minimum health and safety protocols, especially in public places. (PNA)
