Forty-six more Tarlaqueños have recovered from the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) as confirmed by the Department of Health (DOH) on Tuesday.

These brought the total number of recoveries in the province to 1,523 while the active cases went down to 133.

Based on the report of the Tarlac Covid-19 Task Force, the new recoveries came from this city with 12, Capas with 13, Bamban with eight, Concepcion with six, Gerona with four, and one each from Lapaz, Camiling, and San Manuel.

Meanwhile, three new Covid-19 cases were reported in the province, bringing the total number of cases to 1,726.

The three new cases came from the city, and one each from Barangays San Vicente, San Miguel and Paraiso.

The task force also reported that a 54-year-old woman from Barangay Sta. Maria, Camiling town died of the disease, bringing the total number of deaths to 70.

Governor Susan Yap has appealed to the Tarlaqueños to still observe health and safety protocols as the country continues to grapple with the Covid-19 pandemic.

Yap asked her constituents to remember that” the virus is still here as there is still no vaccine yet against Covid-19”. (PNA)
