“Better days are coming.”

These are Vice Ganda’s words during an online episode of the noon time show, “It’s Showtime”, at the ABS-CBN Entertainment’s YouTube channel on October 2, hinting the possible come back of ABS-CBN. Several fans placed their guesses about the other possible ways that this come back might happen- some say they might have contested successfully, while others say that they might be renaming the network.

This statement later made sense when several ABS-CBN artists and executives such as Robi Domingo, Bianca Gonzales, and Director Lauren Dyogi revealed the news to their subscribers that ABS-CBN, will in fact, start airing their shows again via Channel 11, ZoeTV, this October 10.

Newly rebranded as A2Z, Zoe TV Channel 11 had a Blocktimer Agreement with ABS-CBN, which is not new in the media industry. Prior to this, ABS-CBN was only showing on their online platforms and paid views, and so, their loyal subscribers definitely got excited as ABS-CBN returns to free TV.

According to an official statement released by ABS-CBN on October 6, A2Z Channel 11 will be viewed on analog TV in Metro Manila and nearby provinces.

ABS-CBN was ordered by the National Telecommunications Commission to cease operations on May 5. After thirteen hearings, the House of Representatives denied to renew its 25-year legislative franchise on July 10―exactly three months before its much-awaited comeback.
