Two more Tarlaqueños, including a female government employee, tested positive for coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19), raising the number of confirmed cases to 281.

Based on the report of the Tarlac Covid-19 Task Force on Sunday, the 61-year-old female government employee who came from Barangay Jefmin, Concepcion, has a history of contact to a confirmed Covid-19 positive case.

She has comorbidities and developed Covid-19 symptoms. At present, she is confined in a private hospital in Pampanga, the task force said.

The other new case is a 37-year-old male construction worker from Barangay Mayang, La Paz, who has also a history of contact to a Covid positive coworker.

He was swabbed in Pampanga on Sept. 11 and positive results came out on Sept. 12.

The patient is presently under quarantine in a facility in Pampanga which was provided by their company, the task force added.

As a result, the active cases in the province reached 135.

Meanwhile, the total number of recoveries remained at 136 while the total number of deaths stayed at 13. (PNA)
